About Kung Fu For Kids
Nothing captures a child’s imagination like the animal forms, athleticism and legendary bravery of a Shaolin warrior! This magic is available for your child on the Northside of Chicago in our Kung Fu For Kids program.
Martial arts has always been an excellent way for children to develop the skills they will need to handle many of life’s difficult situations. While developing these skills, your children will acquire increased confidence, self-discipline and respect for themselves and those around them.
Our Kung Fu For Kids program offers some of the best Shaolin Kung Fu training on the northside of Chicago. It is taught with proper mental concentration, discipline and stamina reinforced. We firmly encourage the children to perform to their individual best. We teach them the rewards that come with a task well done and the satisfaction that comes with putting forward their best effort.
The athleticism your child will develop practicing Shaolin Kung Fu is much more dynamic than other martial arts and many other physical activities. The abilities developed will easily cross over to other sports in the form of increased jumping ability, better footwork and agility, improved coordination, above average core and leg strength, and dynamic, elastic muscle force generation.
Your child will be a calmer individual with an increased ability to focus on any task at hand. They will become more disciplined and respectful of the people around them, whether they are senior to them or are their peers.
As they progress, situations in which children might be required to defend themselves are discussed and played out. They have opportunities to learn how to deal with these situations in a sound, safe and realistic way. They learn how to be assertive and confident without becoming overly aggressive and combative.
